We take great pride in the handling of the history contained on motion picture film. Our exclusive Academy Film Archival Process™ gives your films the same level of protection given to Hollywood’s biggest and most important movies. From one reel to entire archives! Our process includes the following:
Hand inspection of each frame to identify any damage to the film
Repair of any damage to the film itself, splices, and/or sprockets
Addition/replacement of leaders and trailers
Splicing smaller reels into standard 400’ lengths Stabilizing, cleaning, and lubricating of the film by hand
Storage of the stabilized and cleaned film into archival-quality storage containers with molecular sieves to neutralize harmful gases and prevent vinegar syndrome
Our process is crucial to the continued preservation of your irreplaceable films. Very few companies can provide the level of restoration and preservation that we can. As members of the Association of Moving Image Archivists, we believe strongly in the proper preservation of our client’s motion picture film legacy for future generations.
Advanced Restoration
Our expert experience in film restoration has been brought to bear on a number of projects. We can recover most film content on even the most degraded films. We can repair seams and tears, stabilize footage, eliminate severe non-linear inter-frame brightness fluctuations, and remove dust, scratches, sparkle defects, and mold damage.
Does your film look like this? Cupped, curled, brittle, broken? We can help!
